There are a variety of different ways that online courses can be taught, you will need to decide which you are most comfortable with. Some schools offer courses which are completely independent you will be left on your own to study with minimal assistance available to you. Other schools may offer courses that require interaction with the professor and even other classmates, the downside of this is that you will likely have to adhere to a predetermined schedule. Some schools schedule classes on the semester system, with classes that only start on certain dates and require you to submit assignments at set times. Other schools run self paced course which allow you to start when you want and work at your own pace. There is also a huge variation in cost from one school to another so this will have to be factored in as well.
